Summer bangs....I was getting bored with my current cut/style...was tempted to chop it all off like I normally do in the summer....BUT.....

I came across the below pic one day! LOVED it! 

So I did it!!! And I LOVE it! 

I have gotten a lot of good compliments on the bangs. Let's see how long this lasts! HA!! 

Top Summer Trend

This year's hot summer trend it the maxi dress. You can dress this look up or down! LOVE the long flowiness of this trend! I'm totally on board ya'll! 

Lace Shorts

I fought the urge all last year to buy this sweet little trend. One day while browsing through Target I ran into a pair and on sale none the less...had to have them!! I think they were around $10...SCORE!!

They are actually really cute on and very comfy! 

I can't wait to rock them this season!! 

The Long Bob

Has anyone heard of the long bob? It's the new trendy hairstyle out right now and it's adorable. Basically it is what it's called. A long bob...stacked a bit in the back, longer in the front. LOVE it! 

What do ya'll think? Love it, hate it? 

Jewelry Mix & Match!

One of my fave things about style is something new is always trending. Right now the trend is mix & match. Mixing & matching jewelry is a blast for me. 

Taking a statement necklace and putting bracelets with it that don't match at all. Totally in style, totally trendy!! 

One of my favorite things right now is wearing a ton of bracelets with my watch. LOVE this look. Bangles & lots of them are the "it" thing right now! The more the better! 

For example. Today I wore my gray rose necklace with pearl bracelets with my watch. Doesn't match as all and is so adorable & fun!

Gettin' Your Color On!!!

I'm a sun girl. Love, love, love the sun. But as we all know tanning beds & a lot of sun with no sunscreen can reek havoc on your pores on older skin. SIGH!!! 

So this year I'm trying to stay away from the tanning beds and so some self tanning & spray tans! 

Right now I'm using Jergens Natural Glow for medium to dark skin tones. I like it so far but I wanna hear from you...what do you girls like, use, etc????

I'm trying a new brand of mascara. I'll post before and after pics after I have perfected using the mascara! It's Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes!

 I actually love this product, I was a tad skeptical on if they would work, if I would like it, etc...I'm not a huge mascara person, but seriously LOVE this product! My lashes look thick and long, it's so crazy!

Honestly, if you are ever stuck and need something to match black pants, flats, a certain pair of heels, go to Pinterest!! It's the best!

The Long & Short of it!

So I have an ongoing debate with my hair. Should I wear it short or grow it out long. Love the look of long, on other people. Not sure if it's for me! Ugh! 

Right now I'm growing it out. It, of course is driving me nuts so I'm getting the urge to cut it again!

Weigh in girls. Tell me your thoughts!!! 

AND if you have any tips on growing hair out let me know!

Every other day Hair!

Hello girlies!! I wanted to give you an update on my washing hair every other day situation. I have been doing this for a little over 2 weeks now and I'm honestly loving it. I haven't gotten to the point to wear I actually fix my hair the second day...was given the suggestion to wear it up that day until my hair gets used to being washed every other day. So that's what I'm doing.

I also bought some new shampoo! That I love. It's a shampoo with no sulfates...sulfates are bad for your hair, or so I have learned in all of this...Living Proof is an awesome product, although pricey, so far I really love it.

For a cheaper alternative, which I will be purchasing next to save money try Organix...same great concept, cheaper price and works just as good, if not better! Plus it has an awesome smell.

I have always used a heat safe product on my hair, since I have fine hair with blow drying and using a straightening iron, it's just something I have always used on my hair for heat protection, I have recently found a new product and I LOVE it. Daviness Melu Heat Shield is beyond awesome...makes my hair so soft and smooth.

Let's move on to how my hair is really looking with the every other day washing, etc. Here is a picture of what is normally looks like the day I wash it...I'm pretty low maintenance with my hair, so normally straight it is! I need to start experimenting with curling, etc. 

Here is usually what my hair looks like the second day...I have been pulling it up in a messy bun type thing. It has a lot of texture and fullness actually to it. So I'm actually enjoying second day...plus it's saving me a ton of time in the mornings.

On the second day I get up and put dry shampoo in it, brush it, pull it up and go! I try all sort of different types of dry shampoos. So I don't have a specific one. Or recently someone suggested using baby powder as a cheap alternative that works just as well. Just be careful with the amount if you use baby powder.

I'll post again when I actually fix my hair the second day...letting my hair get used to not being washed every other day! This is a whole new world for me and I'm actually enjoying it...plus in the end it will be so much better for my hair. Hopefully will make it grow faster! :-)
